Give every customer a machine of their own.
Your product makes a sandbox for each customer or workspace: their own kernel, disk, key, network rules, address and bill. One call when they sign up; stopped when they leave for the day.
30 of 200 customers · lit: running · dashed: stopped, disk kept
One call when they sign up.
Your backend asks for a machine from your template. Sent twice by a retry, it still makes one. What it may do and reach is fixed before your customer's code ever runs.
What each customer cost.
Read by sandbox over the API, so you can bill each customer for what they used, or see which plan they belong on.

What it costs elsewhere.
One month of the same work, at each provider's own list prices, plan fees included. Read on 25 October 2026.
| provider | how it is priced, for this | a month |
|---|---|---|
| agental | Fleet, $100 with $100 of time included, and a $383.00 top-up that adds $405.21; 12,000 h at $0.027, 134,000 h stopped at $0.00135 | $483.00 |
| Fly Machines | shared-cpu-2x with 2 GB more ($25.39 a month, by the second); a 40 GB volume each at $0.15 per GB-month, all month | $1,617.37 |
| Daytona | No plan; 12,000 h at $0.1656, and its largest disk, 10 GB, past the free 5 GiB at $0.000108 per GiB-hour while stopped | $2,059.56 |
| E2B | Pro, $150; 12,000 h at $0.1656; paused sandboxes keep their disk free | $2,137.20 |
Fly lists no 2 vCPU / 4 GB shared preset; it is shared-cpu-2x with 2 GB of extra memory at $6 a GB-month, which is our sum. On Fly a stopped machine pays only its root filesystem; with the data on a volume, the volume is billed all month. Daytona's disk tops out at 10 GB, so its sum is for a quarter of the disk.
The same, elsewhere.
